UFO return to Tyneside on the back of brilliant return to form The Visitor and looking to put the untimely demise of their record label behind them. And as a special treat Phil Mogg and his merry men have lined up local heroes Fables Last Stand as support.

“It’s another great opportunity for us and we’re all counting the days,” said lead singer Roachie. “We’re playing Whitehaven on Friday night and so we’ll be nicely warmed up for the UFO gig on Sunday. We were approached at pretty short notice but who’s going to turn down the chamce to open up for UFO?”

rushonrock understands Fables are still vying for the opening slot on the Quireboys’ headline tour in December with Wolfsbane confirmed as the main support. Watch this space.
