Blind Channel are having a blast – and taking a shot at their critics – with brand new single Gun.
The feisty Finns are on fire with the opener to latest long player Violent Pop.
And their trademark brand of rap, rock and nu-metal angst is being touted as the soundtrack to the post-lockdown era.
Gun is set for a July 3 release and the band revealed: “Gun is a song about using music as our weapon.
“We write songs to cope with dark times and to get back at our critics.
“When we wrote Gun we decided we wouldn’t hold back our words anymore.
“It’s all point-and-shoot from now on.”
Gun is produced by Jonas Olsson and mixed by the man behind Volbeat’s biggest hits – Jacob Hansen.
And its fusion of raw emotion and polished production promises to win the Scandinavian five-piece a new army of fans this summer.
Blind Channel are Niko Vilhelm (vocals), Joel Hokka (vocals, guitars) Joonas Porko (guitars, backing vocals), Olli Matela (bass) and Tommi Lalli (drums).
And they wear their influences on their sleeves with elements of Enter Shikari, 30 Seconds To Mars and the early work of Linkin Park shining through across Violent Pop.
Seven years and three albums into a rollercoaster career and Blind Channel have toured alongside Hollywood Undead, Simple Plan, Amaranthe, Sevendust, All That Remains and their all-time heroes – Enter Shikari.
They have whipped festival crowds into a frenzy at Wacken Open Air, Sziget Festival and Weekend Festival.
And the band is poised to get back to business just as soon as Europe’s live music scene rebounds from the COVID-19 crisis.
