Russell HughesBones UK have released Choke, the third single from their self-titled debut album – out on the 12th of July via Sumerian Records.
The song follows on the heels of Pretty Waste and Filthy Freaks and it’s about feeling your feels so hard that you don’t know what to do with them.
“Choke is a track about being so into someone you wanna kill them,” says vocalist Rosie Bones.
Ever had the sensation of seeing a little kitten and for some strange reasons you just wanna squeeze them until you pop? That’s the energy Bones UK are trying to channel with this song.
“You know when you see a puppy that is so cute you wanna squeeze it until it dies? It’s about that. When you feel so much, you don’t know what to do with it all. It makes your teeth clench and your fists hard,” concluded Bones.
Their debut album takes on everything from the beauty industrial complex to toxic masculinity to music-scene sexism. Bones UK are fighting the good fight for both genders and they’re doing it the best way possible.
