The Answer have never performed better as a live band!
That’s the verdict of bass player Micky Waters as the Ulstermen prepare to slay UK audiences on next month’s co-headline tour with fellow Brit rockers The Union.
And the rhythm king has revealed The Answer are in no mood to stand still following the release of 2011’s Revival – with writing for a new album, non-stop touring and a slew of festival shows set for 2012.
“The last five or six months we’ve been playing as well as we ever have done, of not better,” revealed Waters. “We just returned from Japan where we played a blinding show in Tokyo. It was fantastic and, most of all, it was fun.
“We’ve grown up a lot, we’ve got a new appetite for playing live and we love what we do.
“When you start off in this business the excitement of it all kicks in and then you think you’ve done it and seen it all.
“Maybe we lost that initial hunger for playing live and everything that being in a rock band is all about. But it’s back in a big way!”
The Answer and The Union hit the road from Friday. Read a full interview with Micky here soon!
