Today Mike Akerfeldt of prog metal heroes Opeth reveals all:
“I’m more of a giver than a getter. I have my kids who I buy shit loads of stuff for.
“If someone does buy me something it tends to be socks and underwear – the usual stuff.
“If someone did want to get me something extra special it would be a 1969 album by the producer and arranger Will Malone. I’ve never actually seen a copy in the flesh but if I did I think it would set me back about £2,000. So it would be better to receive, than give, on that occasion!”
