We’re already tipping this band to be one of the big hits of 2011 and if you haven’t heard of Benedictum yet then the chances are they’ll be blasting a giant hole in your consciousness from next month.
Fronted by fearsome singer Veronica Freeman, the San Diego metallers burst onto the scene in 2006 when they were plucked from obscurity to be named as ones to watch by Classic Rock magazine. Two solid albums have followed and February sees Benedictum’s third, the mesmerising Dominion unleashed via the fabulous Frontiers Records.
With Grammy Award winning producer Ryan Greene twiddling the knobs and long-time collaborator Jeff Pilson still a huge influence, it seems Freeman and co. are finally on the brink of widespread acclaim.
Dominion gets its Uk release on February 21 and you can expect a full RUSHONROCK review on the eve of release.
The album shapes up as follows: Dominion; At The Gates; Seer; Grind It; Prodigal Son; The Shadowlands; Beautiful Pain; Dark Heart; Bang; Loud Silence; Epsilon; Sanctuary (Bonus Track); Overture/The Temples of Syrinx (Bonus Track)
