Iconic Ulstermen Therapy? hit the rehearsal rooms on Friday determined to hit top form in time for next week’s run of three live shows in three days.

The gigs at London’s Water Rats venue will provide the tracks for this year’s much anticipated live album – celebrating the band’s 20 years in the music business.

And frontman Andy Cairns told rushonrock: “We’re very excited but we want it to be right. So we’re spending three very long days rehearsing and making sure everything goes to plan.” Therapy? were due to release their live record at the start of the year but two shows recorded in 2009 were scrapped. The three-piece will return to a familiar venue from March 29-31, delivering three different sets and Cairns added: “I’ve been shut away in my little room in the garden practising a few songs I haven’t played in months or even years.

“We’re looking to cover the band’s career from day one – in fact Meat Abstract is one of the songs I’ve been working on. We have a list of the songs we want to cover and over the three nights I’m confident we’ll get through the list.”
