Rumour has it that one of the greatest unsigned bands of all time (well, in our view, anyway) is about to reform for a special one-off gig.

Baby Rattlesnakes went their separate ways several years ago after taking Tyneside’s rock scene by storm – and playing alongside the likes of the Quireboys, Electric Eel Shock and Tokyo Dragons. Sets at Trillians and the Head Of Steam were always a whole heap of fun but after a series of false dawns the four remaining members finally went their separate ways. Or did they? Word has reached rushonrock that long-time drummer Kallie has penciled in a comeback gig for the gang as support for a forthcoming show in the North East.

And while details remain sketchy it seems singer Adam (pictured) – aka VoodooKid and now fronting the fantastic Dirty Rock N Roll – has agreed to the reunion with bass duties carried out by ex-Rattlesnake Chris and one-time member Saunders stepping in on guitar.

Famed for their mix of hard rock and punk, the band’s classic line-up featured axe hero Mick on lead guitar and the fourpiece delivered a series of killer tracks including the big hit that never was, Beautiful To Me.

Meanwhile DRnR could yet be added to the Falling Red/Hollywood Tease bill at Trillians in March. Watch this space.
