NWOBHM legends Tygers Of Pan Tang are pressing ahead with plans to record the official FA Vase final song for hometown heroes Whitley Bay – thanks to rushonrock!
We were approached by Newcastle’s Evening Chronicle last week when the paper was on the look out for a local band to get on board with a new footy anthem. And after a few calls to our key rock contacts the Tygers came on board with the promise to rework their classic Live For The Day in time for the Seahorses’ trip to Wembley on May 10.
The UK-based members of the band are due to meet with rushonrock editor Simon Rushworth later this month to brush up on all things Bay. And after the success of The Quireboys’ link-up with Blyth Spartans earlier this year – another partnership forged by rushonrock – there’s every likelihood the Tygers could have another big hit on their hands.
