It’s already shaping up to be one of the best new releases of the year and rushonrock has been granted a sneak preview of Jeff Scott Soto’s fantastic return to form on new solo outing Beautiful Mess.

Soaked in sweet melodies and classic hooks this record really is a revelation. The last time we saw Jeff (or JSS as he prefers to be called as a solo artist) was as frontman for Journey at Newcastle City Hall and the crowd came away purring at the sheer professionalism of his outstanding performance that night.

Ever since we’ve been keeping close tabs on one of the great melodic rock voices of the 21st century and Mr Soto doesn’t let us down on his latest release for rushonrock faves Frontiers Records. And don’t let the short, snappy titles fool you into thinking this collection of super cool tunes lacks depth – it’s just a ploy to make sure the names don’t get in the way of the music.

Out towards the end of next month, rushonrock will review Beautiful Mess on the eve of its UK release. Until then you can only imagine how much you’ll love this emotion-filled modern classic.
