Stockholm quartet Crucified Barbara could finally be on the brink of rock’s big time 10 years after bursting onto the scene – if new record ‘Til Death Do Us Party is anything to go by.
Out on February 23 via the GMR label, rushonrock landed a promo copy last week and it hasn’t been off the CD player since. In terms of classic songwriting it doesn’t pull up any trees with tunes like Sex Action and Danger Danger a glorious throwback to late 80s sleaze cheese. But if you’re looking for a soundtrack to your next rock party then thise feisty four piece could be just what you need. Anyone who caught them on tour with Backyard Babies at the back end of last year will know excatly what we’re talking about – these girls sure can rock.
And though it pains us to say it, with rushonrock faves McQueen AWOL in the US there has never been a better time for CB to steal a march on the world’s best girl bands and carve a niche in the cluttered rock market.
Check out a full review next month and look out for an interview with our favourite new girl band very soon.
