Motionless In White – Graveyard Shift (Roadrunner Records)
Genre: Metalcore
How do you follow on from an album that reached the top spot in Billboard’s Rock Chart and an incredible ninth position on the Top 200?
Well the answer lies in three years of production and oodles of creativity, artistic flair and an uncompromising vision.
Not just content with being one of the most listenable metalcore bands on the scene at the moment, Motionless in White have added so much more to their game and must now stand head and shoulders above their competition.

The band from Pennsylvania can do the traditional as well as the new-age and Soft is a perfect example of that as the band’s hybrid introduction to the Graveyard Shift gives way to an all-out audio assault from Chris Motionless and co.
But before fans get carried away with the madness, Untouchable brings the level down again with a much more melodic approach to the tune through softer lyrics and sedated guitars.
Not My Type: Dead As Fuck 2 would give Rob Zombie a run for his money as everyone’s favourite necro-rocker as Motionless growls ‘if she’s got a pulse then she’s not my type’, while the band are surely confirmed as one of the most innovative and theatrical around thanks to the bombastic second half of the song.
And just as you think Motionless In White have lost their hardcore edge comes The Ladder. Don’t be fooled by the vocal introduction, this is an absolute thunderbastard of a song with a chorus line that’ll stayed lodged in your head for days and days.
Following up to Reincarnate must have given the group sleepless nights, but Motionless In White have stepped up and delivered again to add to the impressive back catalogue of music already at their disposal.
