With 2022 now firmly in the rearview mirror, the new year has started with a bang both in and out of the ring for WWE.
A lot can change over the course of 365 days.
Superstars come and go and some enjoy their 15 minutes of fame but who will make their move in 2023?
During the next few weeks King of the Ring, Andy Spoors tells us who we should be keeping an eye on and why…

Bianca Belair

2022 was the year Bianca Belair cemented her place at the top of the women’s division.

For more than seven years, said division has been dominated by The Four Horsewomen (Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks).

But after another huge WrestleMania match Belair showed the world that the times they are a changing.

After vanquishing all challengers for her Raw Women’s Championship, including an elongated and excellent rivalry with Becky Lynch, this year promises to be every bit as tricky for the EST.

With a host of Superstars returning to WWE in recent months, Belair will have a new list of potential usurpers to overcome.

Her biggest challenge might actually be keeping herself fresh and relevant in the eyes of the WWE Universe.

Recent years have proven that no matter how popular you may have been on your way to the top, staying there is a whole other prospect.

Even the most ardently supported Superstar has found themself booed within weeks of becoming a champ.

Develop your character and put on great matches, or be prepared to fade into obscurity.

Luckily, Belair has all the tools to stick around for a long time yet.

Now she needs to find someone else who can hang at her level.
