Employed to Serve have released their new single Harsh Truth and followed it up with a music video for the track.

The song is an emotional one about the dangers of social media and it’s a rallying call for those who are feeling suicidal. But ultimately, Harsh Truth is one of hope.

You can watch the video below, or through the embed in the featured image.

Vocalist Justine Jones explained: “In 2017, 5,821 suicides were registered in the UK and is the second leading cause of death among 15-29 year olds.

“These statistics are staggering, but all is not lost as there has been a decline in attempts thanks to the work of charities such as Samaritans. Lyrically, Harsh Truth is an anthem for the ill-represented masses who are struggling behind the veil of positive social media posts.

“The world is a better place with you in it, so stay alive and seek help as it’s always there.”

Employed to Serve will also release their new album, Eternal Forward Motion, on the 10th of May through Spinefarm Records.

To celebrate it, the band have some shows coming up throughout spring and summer.
