Beartooth have announced the release of the music video for Disease as well as details of their third album.

Disease, the album not the song, will be released on the 28th of September and is a further installment in the chronic of lead singer Caleb Shomo’s battle with his demons.

“The album is a whirlwind of emotion,” Shomo explained. “Crazy highs, crazy lows, and lots of intensity. This record isn’t about winning anything. It’s about trying to even begin to learn how to deal with things.”

Beartooth haven’t forged a reputation for being the most light hearted group around, and Disease isn’t going to lighten the band’s back catalogue.

“It’s hard to process just how dark you can get,” continued Shomo. “What you can really put yourself through with expectations. It’s like starting from the beginning all over again. At the end of the day, it is a very dark album.”

Shomo took on the bulk of the work on the album and recorded vocals, guitars, bass, and drums, and mixed the album himself with assistance from an engineer, now with executive producer Nick Raskulinecz, who has worked with Foo Fighters and Rush.

The frontman also left the comfort of Ohio and moved to Blackbird in Nashville, the recording studio that gave birth to legends such as Alice in Chains, Taylor Swift and Greta Van Fleet.

Beartooth are launching a US tour in celebration of Disease. “We’ve have been planning this tour for months now and we’re so excited for everyone to see what we’ve put together,” enthused Shomo. “We’re very stoked to have our friends Knocked Loose and Sylar along for the ride as well!. Come rock out with us.”
