Johnny Lloyd has shared the new video for Running Wild, the lead track from his new Eden EP, which is out now through Xtra Mile Recordings. Produced by The Maccabees’ Hugo White and Mike Crossey (Wolf Alice, The 1975), the EP was recorded in stints between The Maccabees’ Elephant and Castle studios and Los Angeles.
Speaking about the new clip, filmed in Mexico with film-maker Toby Ross-Southall, Llyod said: “We wanted to explore Mexico as a city and a place to reflect Running Wild.

“We felt that Mexico had a lot to offer in terms of light, spirit and energy, and we wanted to celebrate the characters which make up this unique place. We wanted to capture the atmosphere of the country first hand.”
The Eden EP finds Lloyd reuniting with White once again – who was also at the production helm alongside Jamie T – for Johnny’s debut EP Dreamland.
Xtra Mile released the EP last year to radio support from 6Music, Radio X and Radio 2, with a top 20 spot on the iTunes pop chart and over half a million streams online.
Speaking about the new release, Lloyd continued: “It was great working with Hugo White and Mike Crossey again. The Eden EP was recorded over a period of 6 months- Hugo brought so much to it and really put the hours in.
“Running Wild was written in reaction to the live shows- for me the songs about being free and trying to find a place in the world.”
