Danish tech-metallers Ghost Iris have released their new single Save Yourself as well as a corresponding video.

The track, taken off their upcoming album Blind World, is the second song to be released to the public ahead of the LP’s February 17th launch date and follows on the heels of Pinnacle.

Talking about the tune, vocalist Jesper Vicencio Gün said: “Save Yourself is the next level of Ghost Iris. We wanted to create almost a pop song but with metal instrumentals, which I think we achieved.

The video is our bid for a “Euphoric State” pt. 2. We upgraded from the bicycle to a limo. We’re funny like that.”

Meanwhile, French prog-metal/post-rock outfit Riviere have released the music video for Symbol. The track is taken from their debut album Heal, which is out now through Basick Records.

With their roots in progressive metal and post-rock, the band blend genres by adding in elements of post-hardcore and even 80s electro. Fans of Karnivool, Deftones and Thrice will find common roots with the group, who have spent the last two years working on their album.
