Straightline have announced the release date for their new album Vanishing Values, out via Bird Attack Records.

The German melodic skate punk rockers new record will become available worldwide on the 10th of February and will be their fourth full length LP to date.

The first single from the record, Not Afraid, has been put on Bandcamp for a ‘name your price’ download.

Straightline have toured Europe, Latin America and Japan several times as well as featuring in festivals such as Punk Rock Holiday and Mighty Sounds. The European outfit have been described as ‘veterans of shred’ and have been known to use reggae, funk and jazz in their songs.

In other news, Leeds based Ritual Festival have announced that Anaal Nathrakh, Bossk, Unfathomable Ruination & Kurokuma will be the final four bands announced for this year’s line-up.

The festival aims to bring the best death and doom metal bands to the northern city and Anaal Nathrakh bassist Tom Belgey spoke about his excitement for the event.

“Leeds has always been a historic city for our band, lots of our first really good shows were there,” he said. “We were really impressed with its local scene even back in 2005, and played many shows with Humanfly.

“To see Canvas playing a show together again will be great, and will bring out lots of old faces from way back when we first played in Leeds.

“Ihshan released one of the best records of 2016, so really looking forward to seeing some of those tracks live. Also APMD have just finished a record, so hopefully they will be playing new tracks too. “
