We’re counting down to the final festival of the summer as Reading And Leeds takes centre stage.
And fans of rock and metal can’t afford to be without our annual guide to the must-see bands on both sites.
Today it’s the turn of alt rock pioneers System Of A Down.
Serj Tankian and the boys have been away for far too long and it’s a good bet they’ll be the perfect warm-up for Green Day.
Band: System Of A Down
Where: Main Stage
When: Friday August 23 (Leeds August 24)
Who: Game changers and boundary pushers peddling a style of alt rock and angular metal much missed on these shores
Why: System are very much on and off and while they’re on it would be a foolish decision to miss them
What: A plethora of familiar anthems from 2005’s Hypnotize and Mezmerize plus the pick of breakthrough album Toxicity
Wait for: Chop Suey!
Watch out for: A bout of political posturing from Serj – he never misses the chance to make his point
