When it comes to festivals most people spend the majority of their time fussing over who the headline acts will be – giving little thought to the other stages and some of the fantastic bands dotted around the smaller stages.
And one of those groups that may find themselves overlooked by mainstream fans at Reading/Leeds 2013 are the brilliant Illinois-based Alkaline Trio.
Will this worry them? Not in the slightest. Alkaline Trio have built up such a strong set of core fans since their formation in 1996 that they are guaranteed a good crowd at their headline spot at the Lock Up stage.
On a day where the headliners on the higher ranking stages may not be to everyone’s taste, this is a great opportunity to get yourself down to see a real hard working rock band that keep getting better with age.
