It promises to be one of the debuts of 2011 but until Octane UK’s new album drops later this year there’s ample opportunity to enjoy this Midlands four piece from the comfort of your own rock venue.

The band are hot footing it across the nation on their UK headline tour this month. And the timely jaunt coincides with the release of third single Curtain Call. Which, of course, we hope it isn’t.

Both previous singles won rave reviews and saw Octane OK pick up extensive airplay – a feat they expect to repeat with their hat-trick attempt.

Formed in late 2008, the band have spent 2009 and 2010 getting in the van, travelling the country and honing their live show playing with the likes of My Passion, Kill Hannah and Attack Attack.

Their reputation as a live act is such that this month’s homecoming show at Birmingham O2 Academy is already close to a 600 sell out.

Alongside their live prowess the band are consummate writers. Forthcoming single Curtain Call features driving rhythms overlaid with infectious melodies and the unique voice of Paul Tandy. The band’s material is produced by Romesh Dodangoda at Longwave (Lostprophets, Kids in Glass houses, Attack Attack, The Blackout, Funeral for a friend & Motörhead).

Previous single Fly Again, released in November 2010, was widely picked up by both radio and TV. In addition to numerous plays across XFM and Kerrang! radio, the video reached number eight on Kerrang! TV Most Wanted, Scuzz TV’s top favourite on their bangin Rock Video’s section and number three in Lava TV’s Top 20 for several weeks.

The band is currently writing and recording material for their debut album – due in 2011.
