Not to be outdone by the dudes at Download, newbie High Voltage has announced the latest acts to grace its London festival stage this summer.
And rushonrock top tips Black Country Communion will join the Michael Schenker Group and more in support of headliners Judas Priest and Dream Theater. The supergroup featuring Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian will have a new album out in time for the July 2011 shindig at Victoria Park.
And Bonamassa and Hughes will be heading back to the scene of two of 2010’s greatest live performances – the former stealing the show on day two with his main stage slot and the latter winning warm plaudits as co-frontman for the Heaven & Hell Dio tribute show.
BCC’s self-titled debut justifiably scooped rushonrock‘s 2010 Album Of The Year award. And we’re stoked about the fact they’ll be upping the main stage ante at our favourite new festival.
The Michael Schenker Group have been added to the bill alongside the mighty Jethro Tull and prog legends Spock’s Beard. And there’ll be action from Caravan, Mostly Autumn, Pallas and The Enid with loads more big names to follow!
