Swedish sleaze rock sensations Crazy Lixx will look to take their game to the next level later this year when latest album New Religion hits stores.
Given the full Frontiers Records service, the Malmo riff masters seem certain to break into the big time with the follow-up to critically acclaimed debut Loud Minority.
And frontman Danny Rexon is in no doubt that New Religion is one record which demands to be heard in 2010. “We set out with one goal and that was to beat the living s**t out of Loud Minority with these new songs,” he said.
“And if you ask me we’ve beaten it black and blue. I can’t wait to get these new songs played live.”
After touring throughout 2008 and 2009 it seems the ‘Lixx have lost none of their appetite for delivering pumped-up pop metal shows.
And a band often compared to Def Leppard, Kiss and Warrant certainly wear their hair metal colours on their sleeves.
But it seems the sleaze factor will be cranked up to 11 on New Religion as the band looks to capitalise on a resurgence of all things glammed up.
Crazy Lixx will release their new record across Europe on March 22 – look out for a full review here on the eve of its release.
