INME (pictured) are one of a slew of bands taking to the stage this week and we’re going live crazy in a bid to bring you the very best of the gig action.
Next weekend might be the Great North Run but we’re gearing up for a rock marathon on Thursday as Dave McPherson’s mob, celebrating today’s release of Herald Moth, go head to head with LA Guns and Fables Last Stand plus the 2009 Jeff Fest. Three venues, too many bands and only one website capable of bringing you all the action first!
But a truly bonkers week kicks off tonight with Mammal at the End Bar and Blackhole preparing to blitz a Newcastle o2 Academy crowd. Random Hand check into Northumbria University on Tuesday and 24 hours later, at the same venue, The Used showcase their new record. Wednesday also sees Dirty Rock And Roll return to action at Newcastle’s Head Of Steam.
Of course it’s not all about shows and to celebrate the deluxe edition of Black Metal we’ve got an exclusive interview with Venom‘s Conrad – aka Cronos! There’s our latest look behind the scenes as Ginger from the Wildhearts reveals all in the rushonrock Rider. And we’re bringing you the best in rock blogs from Rock O’ The North and Self Made Man.
Melodic rockers Hardline hit The Vinyl Countdown and we review the latest records from Motley Crue, Alberta Cross, Gong, Danger Danger, Lynch Mob and House Of Lords. Enjoy!
