One of the live highlights of 2010 should be fast-rising 80s-style rock crew The Crave and the band are in the studio this week putting the finishing touches to their debut album.
You might have seen the boys backing Justin Hawkins’ Hot Leg (where are they now…) and Buckcherry last year and they’ll be back on the road throughout this year.
One of those dates includes a previously unscheduled stop in Newcastle at Legends and we’ll be finding out all about it later this week. The band hit the stage on February 27 – the date Marseille are due to rock Trillians.
But The Crave face even stiffer competition in the shape of Joey Tempest and Europe on the same night. But then nobody said this rock lark was going to be easy.
And if there’s already too much of The Final Countdown in your life then this upcoming Brit band offer a refreshingly modern take on hair metal excess.
Throw in the fact that the show is absolutely free – and the opening act is local heroes Fables Last Stand – and it could be Joey and co. looking over their shoulders.
One thing’s for certain it’s going to be one hell of a rock ride on Tyneside and we’ll be here to bring you (almost) every twist and turn.
