Keep your fingers crossed but it looks like Toon favourites Quireboys could team up with retiring greats Thunder for what will surely be one of the hottest rock tickets of the summer!
rushonrock understands negotiations are underway to add Spike and co. to the bill when Thunder sign off at Newcastle’s City Hall on July 7. And that would surely guarantee a total sell-out – with tickets already going faster than a glass of JD in the Quireboys’ frontman’s hand… Tyneside’s finest are playing an acoustic set in Keighley tonight before starting rehearsals for a Scandinavian tour starting in May. But it appears moves are afoot to finalise two appearances with Thunder – who call time on a glittering 20-year career this summer – in Newcastle and Nottingham.
