Nu-punk heroes Gallows will play the newly-named Newcastle O2 Academy this summer as one of Britain’s hottest emerging bands looks to blaze a fresh trail across the UK.

With new record Grey Britain under their belts – and due for release prior to their May tour – it seems nothing can stop the ever-nastier Watford quintet in their quest for world domination. With the follow-up to Orcehstra Of Wolves promising a bleak assessment of the state of our nation don’t expect a laugh-minute show on Tyneside in four months’ time. But do expect a good, old fashioned ear bashing.

The new record was produced by GGGarth Richardson (Biffy Clyro, Rise Against, Rage Against The Machine) at London’s RAK Studios and seems set to re-shape the rock landscape when it finally hits the streets. Frankly we wouldn’t expect anything less. Gallows play Newcastle’s O2 Academy on May 9 and tickets went on pre-sale to fan club members from today.
