Bonafide bangers… guaranteed

There was a time when Rushonrock seemed to bump into Bonafide every few weeks as the bonkers Swedes always seemed to rock up at our favourite festivals.

Or we’d find them following The Quireboys across the UK and Europe, blazing a trail for good time rock and roll.

In 2015 their three-disc collection Treble Charged sneaked into our Best Vinyl Of The Year list — and it still gets heavy rotation today!

But it feels like a while since we’ve had the pleasure of peak Pontus Snibb and his crowd-pleasing buddies.

That’s all about to change at Call Of The Wild and we can’t wait to reacquaint ourselves with one of the best live bands on the planet — on their first UK tour since 2018!

Saturday headliners Royal Republic have a tough act to follow…

What we said

“Bonafide boast purpose and ambition in spades.

“Signed to the same label as the Quireboys and a regular foil for the band in Scandinavia, the well-drilled Swedes won over a whole new army of fans partial to AC/DC, Thin Lizzy and UFO.

“Frontman Pontus Snibb might boast one of the finest names in rock but he’s also adept at delivering gravel-toned vocals, hard rock riffs and the odd cheeky one-liner.

Bombo is an absolute belter and, on this evidence, tailor made for the live arena.

“Pledging to return to the UK in March, the Bonafide boys will be welcomed back with open arms.”
