The Fast Lane
Last summer the flying Finns were one of the unexpected highlights at Call Of the Wild with their retro-fuelled 80s rock bringing the house down.
Album number three — Forgotten Shades Of Life — was released last September.
And Shiraz Lane look set to plunder the very best of that 45-minute rollercoaster ride of a rock and roll album this weekend.
If you want to go even further back then the classy Carnival Days (2018) is cool as fuck.
And debut For Crying Out Loud won the band a slot opening up for Eurovision legends Lordi.
What We Said
“Shiraz Lane are a far more serious outfit despite their obsession with 80s hair metal posturing and Malmsteen-meets-Vai shredding.
“Latest single Scream lent itself to some classic crowd participation.
“And frontman Hannes Kett held a rapt crowd in the palm of his hand (not least during a brief snippet of Whitesnake during the band’s soundcheck).
“On this evidence Shiraz Lane are on the highway to hell — where their red hot riffs and molten rhythms surely belong.”
