Danielle Bradbery backstory

Texan singer songwriter Danielle Bradbery shot to fame when she became the youngest winner of NBC’s The Voice in 2013.

Months later she dropped her self-titled debut album after signing to Big Machine Records.

But it wasn’t until follow-up I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, released in December 2017, that the country star truly hit her stride.

Rushonrock reviewed the second of Bradbery’s Introducing Nashville shows in October 2019.

And we said ‘Arguably the most affecting of the four singers on show, the pint-sized pocket rocket fuses faux vulnerability with a deceptive vocal power that’s already piqued the interest of Music City’s most influential movers and shakers.’.

Earlier that year the Houston-born singer contributed Never Have I Ever to the Charlie’s Angels soundtrack.

And she teamed up with Latin Grammy nominated artist KURT to sing a Spanish only version of the song — tapping into her Mexican heritage.

Stop Draggin’ Your Boots is is produced by Nathan Chapman.

In Danielle Bradbery’s own words:

“This song is a fiery anthem for every girl that’s ever felt strung along by a guy.

“The bold lyrics and sassy beat really pulled me in and reminded me of that fun, Shania Twain, 90s country pop vibe that I’m pumped to channel that into my music.

“It made me feel for the times my friends and I have been in the middle of these situation-ships.

“There’s no longer room for wishy-washy feelings or time for you to be unsure — you’re either all in or you’re out!”

The verdict on Stop Draggin’ Your Boots

A twin-fiddle foundation and Bradbery’s super-sassy delivery make for an on-trend treat for fans of hard-edged modern country.

One of the rising stars of the Nashville scene might not be the most prolific of recording artists.

But when Bradbery does drop new music it demands to be heard.

The Josh Kear/Hillary Lindsey /Gordie Sampson co-write is made to measure for one of Music City’s most affecting voices.

And Bradbery doesn’t hold back on a tune as bold as it’s beautiful.

Stop Draggin’ Your Boots is a kick-ass piece of country class.

And fingers crossed it’s the first taste of long-awaited new long player…

What’s next for Danielle Bradbery

We’d love to know.

But there are strong rumours that album number three will make its presence felt before the year is out.
