Wrestling fans are abuzz with excitement after WWE announced plans for the next three WrestleManias!
The highlight of the wrestling calendar has been the subject of intense speculation for months after COVID-19 threatened to derail plans for a second year.
But this year’s WrestleMania will move coast to coast, as the event switches from California to Tampa.
With Raw and SmackDown currently residing in the ThunderDome just across the bay from Tampa — in St Petersburg — it’s a logical move and one that could allow for fans to finally make their return to ringside, albeit in a reduced capacity.
With another two-night event, WWE will be looking to mark the occasion in a huge way.
“Florida is excited to welcome back WrestleMania to Tampa in April at Raymond James Stadium,” said Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
“Florida has continued to work with professional sports and entertainment to safely operate while generating revenue and protecting jobs.
“WrestleMania will bring tens of millions of dollars to the Tampa area and we look forward to hosting more sporting and entertainment events in Florida this year.”
No ticket information or additional event information has been released as of yet but international fans will have a nervous wait to find out the possibility of attending with travel restrictions still blocking entry to the US.
Back in 2016, WWE set an attendance record as WrestleMania 32 saw 101,763 pack out the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The show of shows will return to the stadium in 2022, before a rearranged trip to Hollywood sees WWE Superstars finally appear at SoFi Stadium.
Rushonrock will be delivering news, features and interviews in the build-up to WrestleMania, starting with this month’s Royal Rumble that officially marks the road to the show of shows.
Here are full details of the next three WrestleMania events:
- Tampa Bay: WrestleMania 37 presented by SNICKERS, Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Raymond James Stadium.
- Arlington/Dallas: WrestleMania 38, Sunday, April 3, 2022 at AT&T Stadium.
- Inglewood/Los Angeles: WrestleMania 39, Sunday, April 2, 2023 at SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park.
In coordination with local partners and government officials, WWE will announce ticket availability and safety protocols for WrestleMania 37 in the coming weeks.
