Inglorious

Inglorious backstory

The retro-fuelled classic rockers burst onto the scene in 2014 fronted by charismatic former reality TV star and Trans-Siberian Orchestra vocalist Nathan James.

In the finest tradition of James’s favourite 70s bands, a revolving doors line-up became a frustrating feature of one of the UK’s most exciting new acts.

But Inglorious rolled with the punches and produced a slew of consistently impressive records to establish themselves as festival favourites and flag bearers for radio friendly heavy blues rock.

December marks two years since the current line-up got together.

And fans are hoping a period of much-needed stability manifests itself in forthcoming album We Will Ride.

The follow-up to 2019’s Ride To Nowhere is already being tipped as one of the hottest releases of 2021. Watch this space.

In Inglorious frontman Nathan James’ own words:

“This a song myself and Danny [Dela Cruz, lead guitar] wrote before he was even in the band.

“I wanted the video to showcase each member individually so everyone could see each person at a time doing their thing.

“The same guy who has done all our videos shot it, which was quite tricky given the lockdown restrictions.

“The song is about a girl who we met on a night out in Camden, she had flame red hair and a mean right hook…”

The verdict on She Won’t Let You Go

Just as James wanted the video to represent each member of Inglorious, the masterful musicianship underpinning She Won’t Let You Go showcases the combined talents of a band with plenty to prove.

No surprise that the main man is in imperious form as he belts out an anthem which nods to peak Coverdale and Hughes.

But it’s another terrific turn from whizzkid guitarist Danny Dela Cruz that ensures She Won’t Let You Go never lets up.

As a taste of things to come on We Will Ride the album’s lead single is the sound of a band looking ahead with confidence to the post-coronavirus era.

Reassuringly, Inglorious don’t reinvent the wheel on She Won’t Let You Go. Why fix what ain’t broken?
