Clutch will play all three days at next summer’s Ramblin’ Man Fair after organisers unveiled their festival residency concept for the first time.

The Mote Park shindig is renowned for its eclectic bills and innovative approach to the summer festival experience.

And US stars Clutch can’t wait to headline Friday’s main stage and follow up with sets across Saturday and Sunday at July’s Ramblin’ Man return.

“We are very flattered to have been asked to do three sets at Ramblin’ Man 2020,” said frontman Neil Fallon.

“And we plan to make each set as distinct as possible.

“The first set, on Friday, will be the barn burner, Saturday will be more of a semi-acoustic set.

“And for Sunday we plan to invite many friends to jam out to the end.

“Then we will sleep.”

As Fallon suggested, the three sets over the weekend will be very different.

Friday’s ‘Who Wants To Rock?’ set will be a blistering collection of Clutch bangers to kick off the weekend.

But Saturday will see the tempo change as the band presents ‘An Afternoon At The Doom Saloon’ – a slow-burning set of Clutch classics, semi acoustic grooves and more!

Sunday night’s ‘Sound Attack!’ show will see Fallon and co. round off the weekend fusing Go-Go, Funk and Blues.

And this set, featuring a number of special guests, will be the most experimental in nature and the party set!

“Ramblin Man Fair is committed to developing the festival headliners of tomorrow,” said Ramblin’ Man Fair chief Chris Ingham.

“And, wherever we can, we want to innovate the established format of the rock festival.

“It’s wonderful that we can kill two birds with one stone and announce Clutch – the band of the moment in rock terms – and our residency concept together.

“Three sets in three musical styles on three stages over three days!

“What better way is there for both Clutch and Ramblin Man Fair to lay out their collective visions?”

Elsewhere Grand Magus have bagged the specials guest slot on Sunday’s Grooverider Stage and The Inspector Cluzo will hit the Blues Stage on the same day.

The full Prog Stage line-up has already been announced.
