German melodic death/doom metallers Nailed To Obscurity have release the live video for The Aberrant Host.

The video comes off the back of their Nuclear Blast debut Black Frost, followed by a five-week European tour supporting label mates Amorphis and Soilwork alongside Jinjer.

After a few select headline shows, the quintet performed a raft of shows at renowned European festivals such as Rockharz Open Air, Wacken Open Air, Brutal Assault and Alcatraz Metal Festival, before rounding off the summer as part of the Nuclear Blast Label Night at Summer Breeze.

The majority of the band’s 2019 shows were documented by Jörg Harms (Black Vision Films), who not only captured the group’s experiences on the road, but also created a music video the track The Aberrant Host out of footage from this year’s European tour.

Vocalist Raimund Ennenga said that the group and their crowd had an amazing connection and that made the video feel so good.

“Our shows in support of Black Frost have been nothing but awesome. The shared atmosphere between the band and audience at the shows was really special – no matter the place or festival nor the time of day,” Ennenga said.

“The live video for ‘The Aberrant Host’ provides a little insight of what people can expect from us. The song itself creates the image of the destructive or even corrosive behaviour of a person that destroys the life of another one without realizing that this act affects its own existence, too.”

This year’s journey might be over for the band, but Nailed To Obscurity’s next adventure is just around the corner. A newly announced run of live dates will lead them across the continent once again in early 2020.
