Russell HughesSwiss alternative-rockers Charles In The Kitchen have premiered their brand new music video You Never Talk with Rushonrock.
The song featured on their new EP called The Fifth Mechanism, which was released last month for limited tape edition and digital through Division Records.
Speaking about You Never Talk ,Fabien B from the band said: “Is communication the remedy for the love-hate duality? Filmed in a dark and gloomy ‘à la David Lynch’ atmosphere, this new Charles In The Kitchen video features three scenes illustrating the distress of a man trying to forget the fascination of lost love.”
The new single isn’t a short, sharp blast to the senses. Rather, it’s a meandering track that takes the listener through a variety of themes and feelings before exploding at strategically timed moments.
Fabien continued to say how this video is ‘a story told over a slow song that wanders through rugged landscape for more than 6 minutes, going from light verses to powerful bright choruses, exploiting dynamics in music as well as in the singing, all wrapped in desperate yet melodic beauty.’
