Simon RushworthDelain have released Nothing Left – from their new Hunter’s Moon live album – as a standalone video after revealing that their performance alongside Marco Hietala from Nightwish proved to be a career highlight.
2019 marks the 10thanniversary of Delain’s April Rain record – the album which debuted Nothing Left as a soulful and bombastic ballad and future crowd favourite.
Hietala joined the band on stage at the Utrecht Tivoli in the midst of the Danse Macabre tour. And Nothing Left left nothing to the imagination.
“Nowadays it’s a rare treat to see the track performed at one of our live shows,” said Delain. “But it hasn’t lost any of its power in the decade that has passed.
“Performing Nothing Left with Marco was one of the highlights of the night in Tivoli and, in fact, the entire show felt like a highlight.
“It was one of my favourite shows of our career so far.
“As it was the first time we did an entire tour with Marco as a guest, all songs featuring him, including the Queen cover Scandal, are included on Hunter’s Moon.”
