It’s been a year of surprising twists and unexpected turns where new music is concerned and we’ve reviewed and rated hundreds of 2015’s best rock and metal releases.

But now attention turns to the best of the best where this year’s albums are concerned so settle back and take in our top 20 – then hit us back with the ones we missed and the titles we all love.

Warren Haynes – Ashes & Dust Featuring Railroad Earth

We said: “This is a record that’s supposed to offer sanctuary to those songs without a home. Ironically Haynes sounds like he’s finally found his way home…after a career spanning hundreds of live shows, myriad albums and Grammy wins. His future will be fascinating.”

With a career spanning The Allman Brothers, Govt. Mule and The Dead it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that Warren Haynes is capable of a solo album of such consistent quality. Nevertheless Ashes & Dust was all killer and no filler and a clear winner where RUSHONROCK is concerned. Missed this? You missed out.
