quireboys us tour poster final 600pxIt’s been a blast but all good things must come to an end.

And this is the final instalment of what’s been a fascinating account of the Quireboys’ first North American tour in 20 years.

Thanks to guitarist Paul Guerin for all of his hard work and don’t forget to catch the guys on tour across the UK later this year.

Hello!

Ottowa was the last show of our USA/Canadian tour. I couldn’t believe how quickly it had gone. Rudy Richman came over to the hotel to say hello – I haven’t seen Rudy since the Red Dogs toured with the Quireboys in the early 90s so it was great to see him and catch up.

The club was brilliant. It looked like it was made out of ice and the opening act were a local band Ginger Fox…love the name. Check them out because they were brilliant.

I have to say it was the first night that I wasn’t happy with my amp – I just couldn’t get the sound out of it which cheesed me off. But never mind – the gig was a cracker and Rudy got up and played three songs which was a lot of fun.

There was no time for an end of tour celebration as we had to leave at 5am to drive to New York to get our flight to Manchester for our Holmfirth show! No rest for the wicked!

Finally, I’ve really enjoyed writing these blogs for you and giving you a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on. I’m sure ill do it again…if Mr Rushworth let’s me! So until then ta ta for noo!
