Finnish folk metal pioneers Korpiklaani have premiered their two brand new video clips for the songs Rauta and The Steel (the English version of Rauta).
Both songs are taken from the band’s upcoming eighth studio album Manala – set for release as a double CD including the album in both Finnish and English on August 3.
The clips were shot with director Markku Kirves in the idyllic region of Janakkala in the South of Finland.
And we’re delighted to say that our favourite Finns are bang on course to better last February’s RUSHONROCK RATED 8/10 Ukon Wacka if this lead single is a hint of what’s to come.
Mixing traditional metal with some of the weirdest and most wonderful sounds you’ll hear this side of an alcohol-fueled Helsinki suburb there’s every chance Korpiklaani can make an impression on mainstream rock fans in 2012.
We’ll be reviewing Manala in full next month and in the meantime feast your eyes on Rauta – in both its Finnish and English forms!
