rushonrock-chick Viki has returned home with happy memories and a very sore head after enjoying a rock n roll-fueled weekend of madness at the Village Of The Damned.

Here’s her wrap of the Day Three action…featuring one or two rushonrock favourites!

Due to Village Of The Damned’s debilitating effect upon this particular rock chick the first band to grab our attention on Day Three were the inimitable Quireboys.

Spike was on fine form, regaling the crowd with familiar tales of smoke-filled rooms, too much whisky and ladies loved and lost. All delivered with his delicious blues rock vocal.

The Quireboys are, and always will be, true roc n roll treasures and it’s a shame there aren’t more like them out there…

…but Day Three ended with a definite bang as Michael Monroe got the crowd Motorvatin’ – mixing standout Hanoi Rocks tracks with prime cuts from his Classic Rock Magazine Album Of The Year Sensory Overdrive.

Black Stone Cherry set the seal on Hard Rock Hell V (for me, anyway as I was too partied out to stay out front for Tyketto!) and they were as awesome as ever. Improving with every tour they’re the perfect band for the perfect rock festival and next year’s headline tour can’t come soon enough.

Heading back to the chalets weary, a little deaf and in desperate need of detox (Blame It On The Boom Boom?) it was still a case of roll on Hard Rock Hell VI! Viki
