Now here at rushonrock we just love a bargain. And when we heard we could catch three bands for the princely sum of a tenner we wanted to know more!
It just so happens these aren’t any old bands. Headlined by classic rock royalty Magnum, the Sound Carlisle bill also includes two of Cumbria’s finest rock exports back on their home patch – It Bites and Falling Red!
Magnum play their first gig in Cumbria in 22 years with special guests It Bites on Saturday December 3.
And Falling Red will kick things off to celebrate the opening of Sound Carlisle – a new 1,000-plus rock venue.
Magnum were formed in Birmingham in 1972. It was classic albums On A Storytellers Night, Vigilante and Wings of Heaven that took Magnum to the top of the UK charts and into arenas and festivals all over the world.
On November 14 Tony Clarkin, Bob Catley and co. release their new album Evolution and will play a mix of old classics and new favourites in Carlisle.
It Bites are just finishing their new album Map Of The Past and have just released the title track as a 7inch single and CD.
2011 is the 25th anniversary of Big Lad And The Windmill and It Bites are looking forward to heading back to their home county to play some of their Made In Cumbria classic and will play Calling All The Heroes for their fans.
Falling Red, who signed to Rocksector Records early in 2010, released their debut album Shake The Faith in April that year and a follow-up EP Hasta La Victoria Siempre in 2011.
Tickets go on sale on Friday 28th of October at 9am from www.ticketline.co.uk or 08448889991. They can be bought from Club Rock and Outrageous in Carlisle for just £10 before November 21. After that they are £15 and £17.50 on the door. For more information www.soundcarlisle.com.
