Love ’em or hate ’em there’s a real buzz about reformed Brit metallers Wolfsbane these days.
And Blaze Bayley and the boys aren’t about to miss a trick as they capitalise on their new-found popularity – touring again before Christmas and releasing a first new album in 16 years!
It all kicked off when the band bagged a support slot on the Quireboys’ December tour two years ago and the ball’s been rolling ever since. Whether the title of the new album Wolfsbane Save The World is tongue in cheek or not (and we suspect not such is the blind confidence of these boys) it’s timed to maintain the momentum and capture the mood of the metal market.
The band kicks off its latest tour in Sheffield on November 24 and call time on their 10-date jaunt in Bristol on December 4. Tickets are on sale now and excited axe man Jason Edwards said: “We are back and we are bolder (older/balder)!!
“The world needs saving!! Clearly!! And with our usual modest self effacing attitude we have returned phoenix-like to do it!!
“The new record is full of the kind of ‘don’t give a fuckery’ that the world is missing and needs when the going gets tough!!
“So pull ya self a pint of ‘couldn’t give a shit’ and lets ROCK!! Come see us on the tour! I’ll be at the bar, mine’s a pint of Newccy Brown!!!”
Rest assured our man Calum will be first in line to cast a critical eye over his favourite band. Expect a brutally frank review next month!
