One of the most incredible rock n roll journeys of the modern era will be retraced next month when rushonrock faves The Answer release their debut DVD!

412 Days Of Rock N Roll hits stores on May 23 and features new seven inch single Rock N Roll Outlaw – a cover of the Rose Tattoo classic – released on Record Store Day later this month.

The Answer’s debut DVD, their first release for new label Spinefarm, charts an incredible spell on the road in support of AC/DC and frontman Cormac Neeson said:

“In the course of that year we got to see the world, whether it was cruising the length and breadth of America and Canada, racing through border controls between Belgrade and Athens in order to make the gig on time, or squeezing in a whistle stop tour of Japan whilst on our Easter break.

“The sights, the sounds and the people we encountered along the way blew our minds! We truly had to throw caution to the wind and let ourselves be thrown up and spun around by the joyous momentum of it all…”

rushonrock – who have supported the band since the release of their first single – remembers the tour well after catching up with the band backstage in the bowels of Hampden Park. And fans of the classic rockers will love every minute of a warts and all record of a breakthrough period for the Ulstermen.

Angry Anderson, frontman of Rose Tattoo is also a fan and just loves the sound of their new single – due for release on April 16.

“It’s sacred ground for us,” he said after listening to Rock N Roll Outlaw.  “But hearing The Answer play it brought a lump to my throat. It’s not only a killer version but they make it their own. Well done, lads, you do us proud!”

Neeson, meanwhile, can’t wait to hit the road again this summer after the band completed their new album for Spinefarm – due for an autumn 2011 release. The Answer will be popping up at festivals throughout the summer before headlining shows before Christmas.

“We’ve got a lot of plans,” added Neeson. “And we can’t wait to get back on the road. We’ve got 17 brand new songs ready to go and we’re f**kin’ loving it! Rehearsals are so exciting, piecing together different set lists with the old and the new material. When it properly kicks off, that’ll be us on the road for the next two years!”

As usual we’ll be right there with them!
