Just days after High Voltage fired their first salvo in the summer festival war – announcing headliners Judas Priest and Dream Theater – it appears Black Country Communion are close to joining the July 2011 shindig.

Glenn Hughes and co. are hard at work putting together the follow-up to this year’s fabulous Black Country debut and the various band members have already pledged to devote the next 12 months to developing the BCC band brand.

Hughes and fellow BCC member Joe Bonamassa both nailed their sets at this year’s inaugural HV festival and the supergroup – also boasting Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian – are in talks to star at a number of high profile European festivals next summer.

Priest, meanwhile, will play their final UK festival show at the Victoria Park event – inked in to take place from July 23-24 – and Dream Theater will play their first British gig following the departure of drummer Mike Portnoy.

Tickets are priced £99 (for weekend tickets) and £56.50 (for day tickets) – subject to booking fee. VIP tickets will be available at £105.00 for the day, £199.00 for the weekend – subject to booking fee. There will also be various VIP and hotel packages available, at varying price levels to suit.
