Two of the greatest musicians on the planet are heading to the UK for full headline tours in 2010 as Britain gets ready to greet the original guitar heroes.

Slash (pictured) and Joe Satriani have announced plans to take their solo shows out on the road later this year. And both men will have brand new albums to showcase after Satch revealed plans to release his latest record.

Slash had already been inked in to play Download Sunday and the former GnR man has added a further slew of dates to his festival debut. Satriani plays six dates starting in October and will release his 11th studio album that month.

Slash, who followed up the Classic Rock-only release of his self-titled solo debut with this week’s general release, plays four headline shows after slots at Download and Glastonbury. He wraps up a busy summer of UK business with an appearance at the 2010 Wireless festival. The full list of Slash’s summer shows are as follows:
