It’s the one we’ve all been waiting for and the wait’s very nearly over!
Newcastle’s brand new classic rock night kicks off on Saturday January 9 at the city’s LYH pub on Northumberland Road.
And organisers Electric Kicks are promising a throwback to the Mayfair heyday – mixing the bands we loved then with the acts making us sit up and take notice right now.
All the action gets underway from 8pm with Suzie’s Classic Rock Night calling time around 2am. According to the venue we can expect to hear top tunes by the following with requests welcome: AC/DC, Journey, Foreigner, Metallica, Heart, Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Sabbath, Rush, Bad Company, Uriah Heep, Boston, Styx, Lou Gramm, Motorhead, Scorpions, Poison, Warrant, Winger, Vain, Motley Crue, Faster Pussycat, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, ZZ Top, Kiss, Dio, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Thin Lizzy.
Entry is free and you’ll find LYH on the site of the Old Tavern: 10 Northumberland Road, Newcastle. Down the road from the City Hall and just around the corner from the Haymarket. Opposite BHS. See you there!
