Multi-million selling hard rock crew Creed are back with a new album and a new determination – eight years after Weathered went straight to number one in the US album charts.
Singer Scott Stapp’s reconciliation with his former band mates earlier this year proved the springboard for one of the most eagerly awaited reunions of 2009.
And the band has been collecting rave reviews wherever they’ve pitched up since kicking off their comeback tour in Pittsburgh on August 6. Now we can bring you the clip of new single Overcome – out on November 9 and a week after new album Full Circle hits stores.
After three multi-platinum albums in 1996’s My Own Prison (6million), 1999’s Human Clay (11 million) and 2001’s Weathered (6 million), the last two debuting at number one on the Billboard Top 200, Creed had hit a roadblock. And the band disbanded after an acrimonious split which left lead singer Stapp on opposite sides to his band mates. The vocalist took the solo route with his band mates forming the fantastic Alter Bridge.
Reconciliation followed a meeting at an Orlando hotel and a decision for Creed to tour with its original line up was made with the reunited band quickly re-entering the studio with noted producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Motorhead, Papa Roach).
