Workaholic rocker Wednesday 13 might be taking a break from the band which boasts his name but it seems there’s no time for downtime for Alice Cooper’s youthful cousin.
Earlier this year the former Murderdoll insisted he would take time out to chill out following a crazy touring schedule which took him across the globe promoting 2008’s Skeletons album and the follow-up Bloodwork.
But after a stint with countryfied side project Bourbon Crow he’s got yet another band on the go – this time teaming up with The Chelsea Smiles’ Todd Youth in Gunfire 76. An album will be released in October with the band hitting the UK before Christmas.
“Gunfire 76 will be my extension into the rock world,” said Wednesday. “After touring with The Chelsea Smiles, Todd Youth and I found ourselves discussing the bands we grew up on and decided to put a band together that fits more of the rock and roll sound of Kiss, Dead Boys, New York Dolls, the Stooges and the in-your-face rock n roll sound.
“Not being signed to a record label allows me to create new projects and continue growing as an artist.”
Gunfire 76’s First Blood Tour will feature special guests, Bullets and Octane. Scheduled dates are as follows:
Dec 01 Concorde 2, Brighton, UK
Dec 02 Waterfront, Norwich, UK
