Just as we were gearing up for one of the biggest and best rock celebrations in the North East, news reaches rushonrock that Jeff Fest 2009 has been postponed until September.
The night staged to mark the life and times of sadly missed Toon DJ Little Jeff was due to kick off in Trillians next Thursday with live music from Dryll, Knuckle Dragger and our hot tips for 2010, Remedy.
But it seems as if this rock music lark is an increasingly dangerous business with musicians breaking bones right, left and centre.
Our spy in the Jeff Fest camp tells us that Remedy are now the only fully fit performers following fracture nightmares for members of the other two bands. And the decision was taken to take a break – quite literally – from next week’s shenanigans until all three bands are in a position to give 100%.
The new date for this year’s Jeff Fest is September 17 and needless to say rushonrock will be providing at least one prize money can’t buy – as well as a few that it can. Watch this space!
