For those of you thinking of braving the Arctic snap and heading to Newcastle Academy for tomorrow night’s Innerpartysystem gig we’d advise you to plan your trip well in advance and set off early.

No, this hasn’t become michaelfish.com – we’d just hate for you to miss opening act My Passion as they set out on what will surely be a journey right to the top of the synth rock pile.

With single Thanks For Nothing released next month and expectations high on the back of some hot tips in the likes of Kerrang! and Rock Sound, this Herts fourpiece have the sound and the backing to go all the way. And Innerpartysystem, Pendulum et al should beware…

Laurence René (Vocals, Guitar), Jonathan Gaskin (Drums, Vocals, Electronics), John Be (Guitar) and Simon Rolands (Bass, Synth) create metallic punk with an ear for the electronic. And it sounds superb.

Formed in 2007, the quartet have gigged like crazy to build up a loyal and demanding fanbase and their MySpace site is already touching one million plays. Miss them and miss out.
